Each year we give special focus to an area of law intrinsic to the fabric of San Diego county's culture, history, and modern day life. We have identified four main topics: Border Law, Military Law, Tribal Law, and Water Law. These topics are rotated annually for special prominence in our educational and professional programming. The year 2017 is Border Law at the San Diego Law Library. With the focus on the Mexico-United States border, throughout the year we will highlight the importance of these issues throughout many areas of the law.

This guide provides an overview of the resources available on the topic of Border Law. Each month, we will expand this guide to provide resources on different aspects of the law.

There are a number of organizations in San Diego that are involved with cross-border issues. These organizations may not address the legal topics presented above, but provide other important services and resources.
